Looking to provide a high-intensity action game that features both combat and stealth-based gameplay is Digital Mind Games with their upcoming title The Spirit of the Samurai. In this game, players travel guided by Kitsune and fight alongside their battle partner and friend Chisai, a warrior cat.
While the gameplay as the samurai will feature Souls-like and Metroidvania elements, there will be plenty of moments to play as Chisai. This role is more stealth focused, from what has been revealed, and will be a segment of the game that is just as intense as the heavy combat-filled segments. Prepare to face evil embodied by an ONI in an adventure in which time runs against you. Fight an army of Tengus, Undeads, and Jorogumo, enter dungeons and caves, go through the Gashadokuro cemetery, and find out the truth about who you really are.
The Spirit of the Samurai doesn’t have a release date yet, but you can wishlist the game now on PC via Steam. It is planned to eventually launch on PC and consoles. What do you think of the different gameplay elements molded into a single game?
