This week Sony launched a video going over the hardware specs of the PlayStation VR headset, previously entitled Project Morpheus. The availability of a console supported VR set could mean the beginning of virtual reality really hitting the mainstream! The specs boast a 5.7" OLED Display, 1080P with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display will simulate a 100º field of vision that can track full 360º of head movement. The headset will have built in HDMI support and a simulated 3D audio headphone port. While playing on the headset you have the ability to display the action in 2D on your television, which makes it great for streaming on Twitch while you play.
The PlayStation VR headset is set to release sometime in the first half of 2016.
