One awesome piece of news came our way during last night’s PC Gaming Show when Torn Banner Studios made an appearance. During their time, they debuted a new post-launch content trailer for Chivalry II that touched on what players can expect down the road as well as a sneak peek of the new Galencourt map. The post-launch roadmap is described by Steve Piggot, CEO/Creative Director of Torn Banner Studios' as “mid and massive level content updates coming out across this year”.
They’re also shifting a little bit of focus onto the latter part of the medieval time period in the upcoming update. The Galencourt map is the first piece of post-launch content and will bring the player to the High Medieval Times in a pristine-looking kingdom just waiting to be destroyed. Along with its sights, you’ll also have the chance to blow up some docked ships in its port.
It’s also teased that new weapons will gradually be implemented into the game as well as a brand-new fighting style that will change the way you play entirely. Piggot is also quoted as saying that “Post-launch content is something that we’re going to be working on for a long time. The game is really going to at least double in size, for free”. I cannot wait to see what Torn Banner has in store for players.
We’re playing Chivalry II now so stay tuned for our review of it this week!
