The N64 classics Turok and Turok 2 are getting the physical treatment on Nintendo Switch! These releases come courtesy of Nightdive Studios and Limited Run Games. Typically a Limited Run Games release is only available for a short period of time and limited to just a number of copies. In Turok’s case, pre-orders will be available until August 30th for the standard versions of Turok and Turok 2. A bundle of both titles are also available during this same pre-order window!
If you are interested in something a little fancier to showcase your Turok love, a limited edition of Turok and Turok 2 are also available but stick to Limited Run Games traditional first come first serve model. The collectors editions of both titles come in an N64 inspired box and come packed with copies of the game, a poster, the games soundtrack and, coolest of all, a metal N64 cart replica! These limited edition bundles are now sold out.
While I don’t think I am a big enough fan to grab those awesome collectors editions the bundle pack has my interest! I am still sad that I didn’t get into Turok until last year as the games even in their original N64 form are awesome and stand as some of the best in the N64 library. The updated versions smooth out things like framerate and draw distances while updating some of the texture work. If you are in the need of some old-school fun Turok is ready to serve your need!
Stand alone Turok/Turok 2 are available for $29.99 with the bundle going for $59.99.
