Fans of co-op first-person shooters are about to get their hands on the latest game in the genre. Rainbow Six Extraction is set to release on January 20th for PC via Epic Games, Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, with access provided through Game Pass, Buddy Pass, and Ubisoft+. While we have already shared the scoop on everything you needed to know, Ubisoft has released the final details that were missing; lore and enemy details!
The lore is actually pretty straightforward. Dr. Elena “Mira” Alvarez, director of REACT R&D, leads the team gathering critical information on the evolving Archaean threat. Every enemy has its own capabilities and mutations. Learn, adapt, and work together to survive. As for the enemies, you will find that they will have a variety of different kinds that will provide a different threat to the group. I would also imagine that they aren’t showing us all of the enemies either so be on your toes when you are running the missions!
Rainbow Six Extraction is available now for pre-order on all platforms and can be purchased through the Ubisoft store. Surprisingly, this game is only running for $39.99 USD, and even the standard edition comes with the Buddy Pass, so all players will be able to invite their friends to play the game for free for 14 days. If you decide you want to go all in and get the deluxe pack, that is also running a fair price of $49.99 USD and will include the Noxious Touch pack, Obscura pack, and React Strike pack.
