NOTE FROM THE EDITOR: We here at GameTyrant have been absolutely bombarded with so many games this year. We will be rolling out select quick reviews to let our audience know about games and DLC that may have slipped under their radar. We appreciate the amazing support from all publishers and developers out there!
Hot Wheels Monster Trucks: Stunt Mayhem
Adding to the lineup of awesome Hot Wheels games that have come out lately is Hot Wheels Monster Trucks: Stunt Mayhem; a title that offers players even more bombastic gameplay than ever before! While this title focuses less on the racing aspects of the Hot Wheels games, it takes its slick driving and turbulent movement to new and unexplored heights as you flip, drift, and boost your way through its exciting courses. This title is very fun for all ages of Hot Wheels or Monster Truck fans and a sure win for some quality family gaming.
Six Days in Fallujah (First Impressions)
Six Days in Fallujah is a hyper-realistic military sim title that aims to replicate the real-world events that happened in 2004. Since this title doesn’t sugar-coat itself when it comes to the truly horrific things that both military personnel and civilians witnessed in 2004, I won’t sugar-coat my feedback on this title; it needs some work. Though visuals and gunplay itself are on track, the enemy AI and movement aren’t really up to snuff. It just shows the fact that this game is still in its early stages. I’m hoping it gets more polished in the future so that a full review can be published, but it seems we’re a ways off from then.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead
Coming off of the success of the horror films of the same series, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a smart and chilling new survival horror title that adds some much-needed flavor to the equation. This title falls very much so in line with survival horror award-winner, Alien: Isolation, where you certainly feel powerless against your foes, and sneaking over combat is usually your best way of survival.
However, the things that this title gets the best come from the already established methods of combat and obstacles that the characters have to navigate. Walking over softer parts of the floor and avoiding broken glass is essential in evading enemies and their keen hearing, and using sonic waves to your advantage is your only hope in incapacitating them. This is an amazing time if you have the chance to play it.
