NOTE FROM THE EDITOR: We here at GameTyrant have been absolutely bombarded with so many games this year. We will be rolling out select quick reviews to let our audience know about games and DLC that may have slipped under their radar. We appreciate the amazing support from all publishers and developers out there!

Steel Seed (Demo)

Starting out our list is a demo I enjoyed trying earlier this summer for a third-person action title, Steel Seed. This title didn’t leave me with too much to be excited about. It gave me the vibe of a Soulslike only with more forgiving gameplay and much more traversal. I didn’t hate it, but its clunky gameplay left much to be desired. I’d love to check this one out again once it fully launches to see how far it’s come.

Magical Delicacy

If you’re a gamer who wants a new spin on the Metroidvania genre, then Magical Delicacy may be the game for you! It’s a charming witchy title that grabbed my heart from the beginning and didn’t let go once. With a heavenly-looking atmosphere and wonderous characters lurking about, this is a title that has a lot of flair going for it both on the outside and within its gameplay.

Scanning the magical city and taking on quests from its quirky cast will give players a chance to test their cooking skills with new recipes being discovered as the game progresses. This was a comfy game to play and had such a nice swing to it once I got comfortable with its gameplay loop.

Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra Wireless Controller

Over the years, I’ve become pretty tired of “pro” controllers. Whether it’s one of Xbox’s own elite controllers or a third-party option, they’re usually bulky, uncomfortable, and useless in various ways. Fortunately, Turtle Beach has finally released an option that doesn’t make me feel like swapping back to an OEM controller.

The Stealth Ultra Wireless Controller is a solid, comfortable, versatile controller that’s worth trying. And not only does it work on Xbox, but PC, mobile devices, and even smart TVs! Firstly, this third-party controller is actually wireless, as opposed to the typical wired fare.

Though players will have to use a dongle for it, it’s a fair price to pay. I say that because not only do you get standard features like trigger dampeners and additional buttons on its backside, but there’s a built-in screen to use in order to switch profiles for macros and sensitivity settings, as well as the availability of running messaging apps and such through it. I highly suggest this controller if you have $199.99 and want more than just a standard game controller.

Star Wars Bounty Hunter

What’s there for me to say about Star Wars Bounty Hunter that hasn’t already been said? This new re-release of Bounty Hunter is just the thing I’ve been waiting for and more. Personally, I have been waiting years for this game to be announced, let alone released. But not only are players treated to being able to actually play it on current gaming platforms, but there are also actually some great enhancements that make it worth playing even for the newbs.

There are new and improved game controls, making it a modern gem in my eyes. Along with that are overhauled visuals, specifically with lighting and how the game’s resolution looks. This HD reimagining is a dream to play as a Star Wars nerd. Lastly, this new release of the game allows players to go into the campaign as Jango Fett’s son, Boba Fett, once they’ve completed the game once over.

Valley Peaks

This is one of my favorite new games. If there’s one thing that I love, it’s a cozy cartoony game where I can just explore whimsical worlds. And for me, Valley Peaks fits that mold perfectly. It’s best described as being similar to Human Fall Flat but if you were solely focusing on the climbing aspects.

And just when you think you’ve nailed down how things work in this title, it changes on a dime to keep things interesting. This is just a charming and oftentimes irritating little title that serves best when you just want to turn your brain off and play while watching a movie or YouTube. This is a title that cannot be missed.
