The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild and Festive Vector have brought us a cute and adventurous title that will have players sailing across the sea on a nautical journey like none other. Sail Forth has arrived on consoles as well as PC and it is determined to win your heart over while you prep your ship for combating pirates, hunt down deep sea monsters, and save the planet from a watery grave.
Players begin their journey after waking up to the remains of their once mighty ship, with no memories or point of direction. After putting together a makeshift boat, you begin your journey across the deep blue sea to only discover that the fate of the world will rest in your hands. Players must learn to master wind sailing physics in order to reach all six island biomes.
Whilst on this sea-ridden journey, you will have plenty of side quests to take part in as well as mini-games to soak up the time. Boat racing, card games, fishing contests, and photography are all a part of the magic. However, the silly lightheartedness does not last forever. Your goal is to upgrade your ship to become a mighty vessel and a part of an ever-growing fleet. You must seek to expand your crew and put a stop to the seven deep sea baddies corrupted by a mysterious substance known as The Deadrock.
Check out the Steam description below:
“Sail a fleet of customizable ships across an ocean whose ancient depths have swallowed the key to the mysterious past. Befriend fish folk to expand your boat crews, take up arms against petulant pirates, and chart a course across an expansive watery world. Will you answer the call of High Adventure?”
I love the chill vibe this game gives off and yet there is some adventurous combat to be had as well. I am a huge Sea of Thieves fan and anything nautical game-related grabs my attention.
Sail Forth is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, as well as PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam and EGS.
