SNK’s Samurai Shodown is coming to next-gen on Xbox Series X/S this winter! The game originally came out last year on June 25th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC via Epic Game Store. This is what Yasuyuki Oda, Samurai Shodown’s producer had to say about the jump to next-gen, “The Xbox Series X/S is Microsoft's most innovative and cutting-edge next-gen console which is ramping up to hit the market soon, and I couldn't be more excited to be a part of its massive presence in the gaming community”. It’s yet to be said if the game would also be coming to the PlayStation 5 as well.
For gamers unfamiliar with the series, Samurai Shodown is a weapons-based fighting game. Since 1993 the series has brought its players heart-pounding battles and fantastic characters flourished with amazing graphics. This iteration of the series offers 2-player local matches and 2-10 player online matches to take part in. You can pick it up on the Series X/S this sometime this winter, though a solid date has yet to be announced.
