A youtube channel called 98DEMAKE has a series of games being made as if they were made back when gaming started to take off; the 90's! Their latest video was one of my favorites and not just because Rocket League is one of my favorite games!
Bringing back old style mechanics and graphics, as well as the way the game would of been played from the players POV, makes the game look like something I wouldn't play nearly as much as I do today's version. Just check it out:
