When NetherRealm Studios first announced that one of Mortal Kombat’s most infamous characters, Shao Kahn, was going to be locked behind a pre-order for Mortal Kombat 11 many players were in an understandably upset uproar. Even so, they have maintained this status for their character and with only days left to get your pre-order in, it is time they showed the man in action.
Showing off some fierce strikes, a mixture of weapons, and incredible speed despite his otherwise bulky size, Shao Kahn is not a foe you will want to face off against. See the pre-order beast in action:
I have to say that his fatality is by far the least believable of the entire character roster. Even with that being said, it is quite a brutal way to be destroyed within yourself. Reminds me of the ole dad joke on long road trip drives, “What’s the last thing a bug thinks about before it splatters on the windshield? It’s own ass!”
Jokes aside, it is a bit of a shame to see such a fierce character, a famed one at that, be locked behind the need to pre-order to the game. Once the game launches on April 23rd for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One, all we can do is hope that they will release him as an optional DLC, at the very least.
