It’s been a long time since Ubisoft has truly delivered a title on their Settlers game series, but after working through the negative feedback they got during the closed beta earlier this year, they now have an official release date for The Settlers: New Allies. They are so confident in this new date that they have even opened pre-orders for the game.
If you don’t know, this is a build-up real-time strategy game where players will settle onto new land, build their communities, meet new factions, and choose to welcome them as allies or enemies in order to protect and defend their new settlement. In this title’s campaign, the Elari are forced to flee their homeland, they must settle on new and unknown territories. These new Settlers will have to face many challenges on their journey, from the raiding of ruthless bandits to the discovery of the new culture of these lands.
Aside from the standard single-player mode, they are offering two more game modes:
Hardcore Mode: As players will be able to play new scenarios, a wide range of modifiers and conditions will make the AI an even more challenging opponent. Adaptability is key in this new mode that will put the best players to the test, alone or with friends.
Skirmish: Players will be able to experience Solo vs. AI, co-op vs. AI, or PvP featuring up to eight players on the 12 maps available at launch.
The Settlers: New Allies is set to launch on February 17, 2023, for PC via Epic Games Store. They are planning to release the game on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and Amazon Luna at a later date. Those interested in picking up this game can pre-order directly on the Ubisoft store website.
The game comes in both standard and deluxe edition. The deluxe edition includes in-game digital content and digital artbook and soundtrack and an Explorer pack, which is more in-game digital content.
