Surprisingly the revelation came from a father who tells The Mirror he heard his toddler daughter using the word. When asked where she heard it she told him that Shadow says it in her favorite game.
The real crime here is that someone hasn't exposed their child to enough gaming that they consider this game to be among their favorites! I'm sure the whole thing is an honest mistake and Nintendo isn't actively trying to corrupt the minds of children.
