Fortnite’s new LGBTQIA+ event, “Rainbow Royale” is here and there is a bunch to unpack! There are new free items for players, new props, as well as some new tunes to listen to while you cruise around the battlefield. The event is live until July 27th at 8 pm ET so make sure you take part while you can!

I’m glad that Fornite has a Pride event as this year saw a boatload of other games taking part in the celebration for both their players and creators. I would’ve liked to have seen Fortnite’s event actually take place in June but better late than never! Pride is a year-round thing anyway!

So let’s get into what exactly is going down in Rainbow Royale!

This week, players can pick up a bevy of free stuff in the Item Shop.

Here’s what you can knab:

Four Rainbow Royale Sprays - Vibrant Heart, Vibrant Llama, Vibrant Boogie, Vibrant Star
Sunshine & Rainbows Wrap
Take a’bow Emote

All of these free items are pretty cool and it’ll be awesome to see players showing them off!

Aside from those new in-game items, there’s also the addition of the Rainbow Flag prop in Creative Mode.

You can’t have an event without music though, so Fortnite has also included the Love ISLV playlist from Rocket League. The playlist highlights LGBTQIA+ artists, and there are some pretty big names in it.
