Cult nautical horror game Monstrum returns as an asymmetrical 4v1 title that’s set on an abandoned sea fortress. This time, indie developer Junkfish has created Monstrum 2 with hopes of taking survival horror to new levels. In it, they are combining first-person stealth gameplay with extensive procedurally generated environments that keep each playthrough dynamic. If you want to be among the first to try this game out, you can sign up for the closed beta right now!
The roles are as you expect: are you human or are you a monster?
As a human prisoner
Use teamwork to complete puzzles, clear obstacles, and unlock new areas.
Scavenge items that can help you exploit the environment and outwit the monster.
Stay stealthy by using hiding spots and distractions to your advantage.
As a monster
Master different monsters and use their unique abilities to hunt down the prisoners.
Smash through walls, climb on ceilings, leap across distances, or teleport to your prey. Each monster leverages the environment in unique ways to ambush unsuspecting players.
Probably the craziest thing here is that the metal labyrinth randomizes its layout, rooms, puzzles, and traps each time you play. This is sure to keep the gameplay fresh for those just getting started and those that are returning players. If this explanation and the closed beta are all you need, then you can go ahead and pre-order yourself a copy anytime. But before you do, definitely check out the cinematic trailer below:
