It isn’t easy taking a genre to the next step, but the developers over at DogHowl Games have teamed up with tinyBuild in order to publish what they hope to be a new breed of the asymmetrical horror genre. To do this, they are changing up the standard rules in their upcoming title Level Zero. Instead of only one player being on the creature or killer side, this will be a 4v2 player-vs-player game.
Basically, a team of four Scientists must repair the electrical systems to escape. Light is your weapon - use it wisely to collect loot and slow down the two Monsters. As a Monster, use various telepathic abilities to counter the light and hunt down scientists. Three levels have already been confirmed; Space Station, Cave, and Polar Station.
Level Zero definitely seems interesting and I look forward to trying this out the first chance I get. If you’re interested as well, be sure to sign up for the closed beta today. The game is planned to release in 2023 on PC via Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. What are your initial thoughts on the trailer? Is it enough to get you to sign up?
