The idea that a pathway can be formed through the different terrains of properly mixing multiple dimensions isn’t a new puzzle concept, but definitely a fun one. Looking to expand on this concept with a full platformer-puzzle adventure is NeoBird with their upcoming game World Splitter. Set to release on April 21st, players on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam can start solving the various pathway options to get through this journey. Those on Xbox One will have to wait until this Summer due to some delays.
Despite having a simplistic art style, this game aims to be a challenging title for platformer and puzzle fans alike. Each level consists of two parallel worlds separated by the ’Dimension Rift‘. The character can move freely through the Rift and interacts only with the visible parts of both worlds. This means that you will have to build your skill in controlling this rift if you want to pave your way through these worlds.
After playing through a multitude of games that I was skeptical about in the recent years that turned out to be one of my better gameplay experiences, I am looking forward to trying this one out and seeing what it has to offer. If you’re thinking you might pass on this one, be sure to check out the gameplay video on the top before finalizing that decision.
