Fans of the Bendy horror series from Joey Drew Studios should have noticed by now that there are a lot of cool options from the online Bendy merchandise shop. Like many others, when I see these shops there is always the concern of where they are getting the merchandise actually made from because they don’t always hold up. After getting a small stash from the creators, I had a chance to try out some of the items and I am honestly impressed.
One thing that the Bendy series is known for is the whole world of ink - the game revolves around it after all. When I pulled out the coffee mug from the box and saw it was an ink tin, I was very pleasantly surprised by the art style. After having a few cups of coffee, which looks like ink in the cup before you put the cream in, I can say that the dripping ink design doesn’t have any discomfort or odd feeling when drinking out of it. They took that concern into account while designing this mug and had the ink low enough that the drips are below the lip-line.
Along with this ink theme, that is how I would describe the shirt’s color. I have had plenty of black shirts in my life, but this shirt is best described as ink-black. It is the darkest black shirt I have ever owned before and even after two wash cycles, done for testing purposes, the color remains just as dark as before. Given that every wash does provide some fade to all clothing, it is safe to say that the ink-black color of the shirt will hold for a long time. The same goes for the black beanie that came with my set as well. You can check out what it looks like being worn, by me, in my personal picture on the right.
Now that I have talked about my favorite items from the set that was sent to me for this feature, they also sent some interesting side items that I can see a lot of people enjoying. For one, they sent crew-length socks that are white with Bendy’s face all over it. While I personally don’t wear socks like these, my wife was pretty excited when I showed them to her. She knows a good chunk of the lore and world of Bendy, thanks to my rambling mostly, and is happy to have something of my fandom in her collection. They also stood up well to the washing cycle test and didn’t show any fade in the sock’s colors. Then there are the stickers that they included which seemed like a mixed bag of images from the series, giving a hit-or-miss on my personal interest. Even so, they are well packaged and have an easy-to-place style that most stickers use. You simply find where you want to put it, peel the back of the sticker, and then slide it on - just remember to slide from the top to the bottom to avoid air pockets.
All-in-all, everything they sent me came in great condition and holds up well to regular use. I can confidently say that the items from the Bendy Store hold up well and are worth every penny you put into getting your own collection items. The only question to ask at this point is, what’s your Bendy budget?
