Square Enix have announced the upcoming launch of a new horror IP this year. It all kicks off on March 8th for PC users and March 9th for Switch gamers, with the launch of PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries Of Honjo.
The Seven Mysterious of Honjo is a 2D visual novel, set in Tokyo during Japan's Showa Period, (1926-1989). It follows multiple characters, with on thing in common, they're all cursed. Players will take control of these numerous cursed individuals, and explore Sumida City, Honjo, in search of answers to their fate.
By day, the cursed people will investigate and unlock the mysteries of the city, by night they must survive as other curse-bearers hunt them.
The game was developed with the support of the Sumida City Tourism Division, and as such is full of vibrant and detailed 360-degree views of the city. The story will dive deep into local urban legends and work them into the story, so players interested in Japanese spooky stories have a good reason to take an interest.
PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo will be available on PC via Steam from March 8th 2023, and Nintendo Switch from March 9th via the Nintendo eShop. Pre-purchase is available now on Steam, and will be available for Switch versions from February 20th.
