Gord is a game that was already being developed by Covenant.dev, a studio with alumni talents from CD Projekt RED, 11 Bit Studios, and Flying Wild Hog. But now they are going to have the help of Team17 to ensure that their game ends up releasing in its best form.
After being announced last year, this game has fallen from view as no news has come for it before this. However, if you check their Steam page, you will see that they are aiming to release sometime this year. Seems it is time to prepare to lead the Tribe of the Dawn as they strive to establish new settlements and explore eerie forbidden lands while interacting with horrific creatures and deities.
In this game, players will have to complete quests to grow the tribe’s settlements, known as ‘gords,’ and fortify these from invaders while managing a populace whose personal stories, familial ties, and well-being can have a devastating impact on the survival of their communities.
