One of Capcom’s beloved franchises, Street Fighter, is bound to celebrate its 30th anniversary soon. To celebrate this milestone, Capcom is releasing the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection that will be a compilation of some of the most iconic games in the franchise.
The Japan based publisher announced the release of the collection during the Capcom Cup finals, a Street Fighter focused tournament based in California. The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will include tons of Street Fighter games that were released prior to Street Fighter 4. Check out the games that will be included in the compilation:
- Street Fighter
- Street Fighter 2
- Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition
- Super Street Fighter 2
- Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo
- Street Fighter Alpha
- Street Fighter Alpha 2
- Street Fighter Alpha 3
- Street Fighter 3
- Street Fighter 3: 2nd Impact
- Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike.
If you’re more into online play, then Capcom has you covered as well as Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike will all be available for multiplayer online play.
In this new online mode, "up to four players can join a lobby where they can play against the CPU while waiting for their next match – a throwback to those days of waiting for a second player to challenge you in the arcades.” Global leaderboards will also be available for players who wants everyone to see their achievements in game. The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will be available on May 2018 for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game will be priced at $39.99.
