With the spring showcase of ID@Xbox, there is a lot of news and trailers coming out for the upcoming titles as well as some that are already released, but being moved to console! Crusader Kings 3 from Paradox Interactive will be coming to consoles on March 29th, with releases planned on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. It will also be available to Xbox Game Pass members as part of their subscription. This release date was revealed during the ID@Xbox Spring Showcase on Twitch with two trailers featuring Grammy Award-winning musical artist, T-Pain.
Like the Emperor he is, T-Pain walked the audience through his creation of the Holy Booty Empire, a place of peace and respect. At least it was until that darn assassination plot forced him to take action. What follows is the usual descent for Crusader King’s players, where the good intentions sometimes need some forceful backup. In another trailer, T-Pain announces his new position as Pope! He has created his own in-game religion and is very pleased with himself. At least until things turn out worse than expected. You can watch the first of these trailers below
Beyond the release announcement, Paradox Interactive has more exciting news about Crusader Kings 3. Since release, they have sold 2 million copies of the game, and the recent ‘Royal Court’ expansion has sold just over 1 million copies in the month since release. Both of these break records for the company, being the fastest they have reached those numbers for any of their games. Congratulations to Paradox Interactive and thank you for your fine work!
Crusader Kings 3 is currently available on PC via Steam and Xbox Game Pass, and will release to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 29th.
