Telltale Games Announces Batman Partnership with WB Games

Telltale Games has been cornering the market on licensed adventure games ever since they scooped up the rights to Back to the Future in 2010. Well, adding to their already impressive list of Minecraft, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and some mysterious Marvel projects is possibly DC's most iconic character, Batman. Starting in 2016 Telltale will be releasing a series of episodic games based on the world's greatest detective. The games will be on home consoles (not yet announced), PC, Mac and mobile. I'm quite interested to see what this partnership might hold.

The game was announced on stage at The Game Awards in Los Angeles. The trailer will be released to the public later this week, most likely at the PlayStation Experience. In the meantime, Telltale Games CEO Kevin Bruner had this to say:

At Telltale, we’ve been honored to bring our unique approach to interactive storytelling to some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be exploring what it means to be Batman in an all-new series starting next year. This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.
