June has arrived, and that means a whole month of exciting new game releases coming to consoles and PC. Summer in the Northern Hemisphere is always a time for blockbuster game announcements and releases, and this summer is no different. While we’re sure to get a glimpse at the distant future of gaming this month, these titles will be in gamers’ hands in just a few short weeks.
Diablo Immortal (PC, Mobile) – June 2nd
Diablo Immortal brings the beloved ARPG series to mobile devices with a brand new story and mechanics that will thrill long-time fans and newcomers alike. Join up with friends, venture into terrifying dungeons, and take on the hosts of Heaven and Hell in this open-world MMORPG.
Card Shark (PC, Switch) – June 2nd
If you’ve ever wanted to be the ultimate card cheat in 18th century France, Card Shark might be the game for you. Players must use every trick and bluff in the book to connive their way into royal banquet halls and the pockets of brash nobles, all while avoiding suspicion and growing rich in the process!
Mario Strikers: Battle League (Switch) – June 10th
Mario Strikers: Battle League revives Nintendo’s battle-soccer series after a fifteen year hiatus, and it’s shaping up to be a welcome return for the sports spinoff. Players will face off in tense, 5v5 Strike matches that include tackles, items, and unique Hyper Kicks that can decimate the enemy team. The Super Club feature will also allow players to join their friends in online competitions and climb the ranks to become Mario Strikers champions.
The Quarry (PS4, PS5, XBO, XSX|S, PC) – June 10th
From the studio that brought you Until Dawn comes a new tale of terror that finds nine teenager camp counselors stranded overnight in a seemingly abandoned quarry. The Quarry is a narrative game that adapts its plot to the decisions players make, which can lead to any character’s gruesome demise. But worry not, for the story doesn’t stop until the night is over, regardless of who’s left alive.
Fall Guys (Switch, XBO) – June 21st
After its meteoric rise to prominence on PlayStation and PC, Fall Guys is officially making its debut on Xbox and Switch this month. What’s more, it’s multiplatform launch will coincide with the game going free-to-play, which means gamers on every platform can easily jump in for some zany, obstacle course action.
Sonic Origins (Switch, XBO, XSX|S, PS4, PS5, PC) – June 23rd
The Blue Blur is back with a fresh coat of paint in Sonic Origins, a remastered collection of the original four Sonic The Hedgehog titles. This collection includes Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles. It also includes bonus content like added missions and an in-game museum.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes (Switch) – June 24th
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes tells a new story in the world of Fodlan, a region familiar to players of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Many fan favorite characters and mechanics return in this musou-style spinoff, including a pivotal choice that creates three distinct story paths within the game. Choose your allies wisely and take on overwhelming odds to preserve the future of Fodlan!
Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course DLC (XBO, XSX|S, PS4, PS5, Switch, PC) – June 30th
The long-awaited expansion for Studio MDHR’s run-and-gun title Cuphead is finally set to come out this month. The Delicious Last Course will take Cuphead and Mugman to a new island filled with all sorts of dastardly bosses to take down, but this time they’ll have a little extra help in the form of Ms. Chalice! This new playable character sports her own set of unique abilities, and she’s brought along some new weapons and trinkets to aid her friends in the battles ahead.
Outriders Worldslayer (XBO, XSX|S, PS4, PS5, PC) – June 30th
Return to the world of Outriders with the Worldslayer, a massive expansion that looks to revitalize People Can Fly’s third-person looter-shooter. Worldslayer brings a new story, region, and villain to the game alongside new weapons, abilities, and endgame content designed to keep players invested long after they’ve rolled credits.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak (Switch, PC) – June 30th
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will take players on a brand new adventure in the world of Monster Hunter Rise, with new monsters, characters, and difficulty ranks to master. Players will venture across the ocean to the distant outpost of Elgado, where they must help the knights of the Royal Order defend their home from an onslaught of unusually aggressive beasts.
