Indie development team NoSleepGames has landed a starring voice actress to fill the main character role of their game. Katy Bentz, known for her role in the Life is Strange series as ‘Steph Gingrich,’ will be the voice of Annie in the upcoming narrative puzzle game Annie and the AI.
Players will take on the role of Esme, an artificial intelligence developed by the brilliant but troubled Annie, and must solve puzzles to learn and develop their intelligence. As players solve puzzles, Esme will grow in intelligence, and its relationship with its creator will deepen, exposing players to an engaging yet sensitive story.
Annie and the AI is set to release in February 2023 on PC via Steam. With a big name filling in for the key role of the game, that is already a promising start for the developers. Now, we just need to see some actual gameplay to see what we have in store soon.
