Frostpunk 2 is officially coming to PC and Game Pass in July 2024, but you can now get your hands on the chilly strategy game by pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition. This preview build features a portion of the sandbox mode known as Utopia Builder Preview. In addition, 11 Bit Studios have also released a gameplay deep dive that gives us another look at the mechanics, world, and diplomacy aspects of Frostpunk 2.
Similar to the Endless Mode of the first Frostpunk, the Utopia Builder offers players to shape their own narrative without the constraints of the main campaign progression. There’s also a deeper narrative aspect this time around beyond the campaign, and while the city-building is just as important, the developers have placed a greater focus on diplomacy.
The beta is live now until April 22nd (closing at 7 PM CEST / 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT). You can access it through Steam or Microsoft Store by pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition. Frostpunk 2 arrives on PC and through PC Games Pass on the 25th of July.
