Demon’s Souls
If anyone could say Playstation 5 has a killer app, Demon’s Souls is it. Combining brutal yet stellar gameplay and combat with unreal graphics, effects, and animation, my jaw has dropped multiple times while playing this fantastic remake. If any console game I’ve seen so far could be considered “next-gen”, this is definitely it.
Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition
The DMC series is not only known for visceral and super tight gameplay, the graphics have always been a showcase and with the PS5’s raw power, DMC5 Special Edition is truly a showcase for the platform. DMC5 is one of the best in the series and should be experiences ASAP on next-gen.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
Love it or hate it, The Call of Duty series keeps getting better. After the fantastic Modern Warfare entry last year, Black Ops features a thrilling campaign, fantastic multiplayer, and even better zombies mode to round out a complete package. Best of all, it looks absolutely stellar on PS5 with enhanced resolution, textures, and effects. I am pleased to report that the PS5 version looked equally amazing on our top end gaming PC as the PS5. Yes, it looks just as good as it plays.
Spirit of the North Enhanced Edition
If you are looking for a much more calm, low key and artistic experience on your shiny new PS5, Spirit of the North Enhanced Edition looks like a painting in motion. There is a lot to love in games that fly a bit under the radar but still deserve all the attention we can give it.
Warhammer: Chaosbane - Slayer Edition
Chaotic Action-RPG based on Warhammer? Check. Single player and co-op options for mayhem? Check. Next-gen graphics and goodness? Check. There is plenty to slay about Chasonbane as it exists but on PS5, it’s the ultimate edition.
