Following up 10 years after the initial release of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Frictional Games is reviving the series with a new title called Amnesia: Rebirth. While we have known of the release date and many of us have been anticipating its release on October 20th for both PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam, Epic Games, and more, we now have our first gameplay reveal!
The new trailer reveals some gameplay mechanics involved in solving puzzles, alongside Frictional's signature physics interactions. It also shows a sneak peek of one of the game’s monsters where the player has to go through a frantic obstacle course in a desperate attempt to escape.
Watching this 5-minute gameplay reveal trailer really shows off how the developers are bringing the series back to life. Using a mixture of current-gen graphical qualities and with the horror style the series is known for, they really do seem to have a great game on their hands here. The wait won’t be long now before we face the evil that lurks within this series Rebirth!
