2024 continues to be an excellent year for gaming, and it’s made even better by Supergiant Games officially opening the doors to Hades II with a technical playtest. Interested players can sign up now through Steam by clicking the Request Access button on its Steam page.
According to the official FAQ page for the Technical Test, you can expect to receive an invitation throughout the test. If you have signed up on Steam for something similar, you’re usually emailed the invite after requesting access, and then you can download the appropriate build, and start playing.
The duration of the test isn’t final, but it’s supposed to be longer than a week, and shorter than a month. After the test is over, Hades II will launch in early access soon after the test is over, and everyone can purchase and play.
Hades II Technical Test System Requirements
Here are the minimum system requirements for the Technical Test:
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Processor: Dual Core 2.4 Ghz
Memory: 4GB RAM
Graphics: 2GB VRAM / DirectX 12+ support
Technical Test Content
According to Supergiant Games, the Technical Test contains the first major area of the game, and other early-game characters, systems, and content. It’s similar in size to Tartarus, the first area of Hades.
I’ve already signed up for the test, and hope to get in. The early access period of the original Hades was a lot of fun, and I’m expecting development to be similar for Hades 2.
