ZELDA:BoTW Player Creates A Clever New Way To The Center Of The Lost Woods

Needless to say, spoilers ahead. You've been warned.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild has already been widely lauded by critics and players alike for the incredible freedom in exploration that it provides. As you will see in a moment, this availability of in-game freedom to essentially walk, climb, and glide in any direction that you want has not gone to waste. There are many intrepid players out there constantly finding new ways to use mobility freedom in combination with existing gameplay elements, like the powers provided by Shiekah Runes, to push the limits and create completely new ways to experience the game. One such notable example is the clever use of Magnesis and metallic objects to create an airship:

As you can appreciate, not only does employing such methods vastly widen the possibilities of what one can do in the game but it also makes certain quests a lot easier, perhaps even too easy. Take for example the case of this player, Swiffy22, who found a relatively easier way to get into the Lost Woods. Traditionally, The Lost Woods serve as the Master Sword's resting place, and as such accessing the center of this location is kind of a pain in the ass. In fact, out of all Zelda games I think BoTW's iteration of the Lost Woods is my least favorite, and this is probably because it's the only place on the map where your freedom to explore is limited, and you slowly and painfully get funneled through an invisible, set path towards the Great Deku Tree. Although this is by no means difficult, it's just more frustrating than it is fun, and aside from the spirit of innovation I can easily see this as a motivation to attempt finding an alternative, more direct route.

In the following video you'll be able to see how Swiffy22 managed to bypass the traditional route by combining Stasis, a log, a speed-up potion, a melee item, and the glider:

Players finding game exploits is by no means a novel phenomenon yet what keeps this fresh and interesting is that although most of these tactics do require a commendable degree of skill they are performed by making use of abilities and items available to all players without the necessity of any sort of glitching.
