Quite literally a phrase I never thought I would say has to go to the explanation of the game that publisher SOEDESCO just partnered with developers Gardenfiend Games to publish. Their game Perennial Order is an upcoming 2D plant horror boss rush game that is set in the Dark Age world.
I have to say, it does sound a bit enticing and very niche. While this is all we really know about the game right now, there is some good news for interested players. We will get to choose to explore this mysterious world either alone or with a friend, uncover a story through unusual NPCs, and cut down terrifying eldritch bosses, all in a painterly 2D style.
Here’s what the team at Gardenfiend Games had to say about this new partnership: "We have been working on our passion project for over a year. It’s our debut game in a niche genre, but SOEDESCO saw the potential in us and our project. It was clear that SOEDESCO shared our excitement for the world we are creating. Our team is working hard to make something amazing for the fans of the boss rush and horror genres. With SOEDESCO’s support, the team will be able to fully realize our vision for Perennial Order. We're confident that with their expertise and wonderful talent, they will be a fantastic partner for us."
Perennial Order is set to release in 2023 on PC via Steam.
