Gamers with lofty political aspirations are in luck; THQ Nordic and SuperPAC are releasing a new game with just that premise later this year. This is the President is the upcoming, debut title from SuperPAC, a Belarus-based game studio that was established by the same developers behind the hit title This is the Police.

In the game, players will take on the most powerful role in the entire world: President of the United States. The twist, however, is that the President is a crook and is under federal investigation for businesses practices from before assuming the Presidency. Players will have to find a way to retain their immunity even after leaving office.

The game plays in a manner similar to This is the Police, with players managing resources and making deals with different characters to solve a variety of problems. Player choice is key to how the game progresses and can lead to different endings depending on how popular (or feared) the President is by the end of the game.

This is the President will be the first title from SuperPAC, with oversight from the creators of its sister franchise, This is the Police. This is the Police was an indie success story that debuted on PC before eventually making its way to consoles and mobile platforms.

Gamers will get that chance to take a seat in the Oval Office when This is the President launches on December 6th, 2021 for PC via Steam.
