Big Sugar Reveals Release Date For TRIFOX

With publisher Big Sugar, indie developer Glowfish Interactive just announced the release of their debut game Trifox. The game will come out on October 13th and will be an action-adventure game based on classic games like Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter, and Ratchet & Clank.

The player will progress through the comedic game as a fox searching for their stolen TV remote. You will be able to play three different character types, engineer, warrior, and mage; with the ability to mix and match their abilities as you please to create your own favored build. As an engineer, the player can access a backpack full of gadgets and weapons like Gattling Guns. With some mage powers added you might shoot fireballs from that gun. And warrior powers as ever are about smacking the bad guys with your big stick.

In this self-styled modern retro 3D adventure, there exists a pleasing mixture of action, adventure, puzzle, and RPG elements that will hopefully bring back some action to the genre as it were. The wily fox protagonist does seem reminiscent of Ratchet, and the comedic tone of an adventure to regain your stolen TV remote from the mysterious looters is sure to be a blast of nostalgia for the good ol’ days of action-adventure games.

Trifox will be available on October 13th for Xbox and PC. PlayStation 4|5 versions will follow shortly at an as-of-yet determined date.
