With how many games are announced and shown off during the gaming world’s biggest annual event, it is rather easy to skip over some titles during E3 2021. Especially when there have been some hyped-up announcements over the larger titles. Even so, here are some indie games that had their own announcement for E3, even though they may not have been part of any showcase:
Hello Puppets: Midnight Show
The second game for the VR horror game Hello Puppets has been announced! Currently planned to release on Steam, this prequel title will be available to a wider range of players as it is not planned to be a VR title; at least, for now. You can try this game’s free demo on Steam today!
Lemnis Gate
With their game launch coming on August 3rd, Lemnis Gate has opened pre-orders for players looking to get this unique FPS title. Regardless if you plan to get it on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X|S, the pre-order will give you 20% off and the exclusive KARL operative and weapon skin, Mettle Mantis. They will be hosting a beta version in July if you want some hands-on action before pre-ordering, but they also broke down the gameplay in their last dev diary.
Bramble: The Mountain King
Set out on a journey through a dark world. A tale about a young boy’s journey through a mythical land, to find his sister and overcome his fears. There is still plenty to learn about this game but this is a pretty good first look into this dark adventure. Planned to release on PC via Steam and console in 2022.
Hot Wheels Unleashed
Shifting gears as they race towards their release date on September 30th for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, Hot Wheels Unleashed revealed a new race track. The Skatepark area has unparalleled space available to unleash the player's creativity and design tracks in an area unconstrained by pesky walls and furniture. Along with the new track, the cars Bad to the Blade, Hot Wheels High, Veloci-Racer, Solid Muscle, Tur-Bone Charged, Roller Toaster, and Time Attaxi are also revealed to be among the 60+ car roster.
Ikai
Set to release in October 2021 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch is the horror game, Ikai. Experience dark Japanese folklore come to life in this stunning new psychological horror game where your only defense against the demons is your ability to ward them off with mystical kanji.
Tandem: A Tale of Shadows
Revealing the gameplay to show off the different roles each character plays in their gothic puzzle game is Tandem: A Tale of Shadows. With a limited-time demo available on Steam, players can get their own first impression of the game prior to its release on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One later this year.
