Pavonis Interactive—an independent computer game development company based in Colorado—has until now been known for their must-have mods that transformed XCOM 2. We’re not talking about mods in the traditional sense. The Long War 2 download didn’t just tweak elements in XCOM 2; it redefined how the game was played on almost every level. And the reception for the development was extraordinary.
So it comes as no surprise that the group behind the complete renovation of a strategy game decided to make their own game. Terra Invicta is that game. The trailer above gives us the first glimpse of what lies in store for gamers, but a Kickstarter campaign is also on the way, according to the game’s development forum.
Terra Invicta will require massive strategic decisions as an alien presence endangers the future of humanity. And while it would be easier if the world collectively shouldered the responsibility of thwarting this species-threatening force, that’s not the case. Mankind has divided into factions. Warfare, espionage, diplomacy, and tactical maneuvering will all be necessary as the Resistance builds its base of influence. This will be the ultimate test of your willpower.
