After last year’s disappointing BlizzCon that blundered with Diablo Immortal, as well as the ongoing debacle surrounding the company’s decisions with Hearthstone, it appears that Blizzard might be trying to make reparations.
While not confirmed, there are big announcements being rumored for BlizzCon 2019. A leaked photo of an art book on Twitter reveals German text that mentions Diablo IV.
And that leak has been verified by Metro, a well-known Twitter user who has shared Blizzard news prior to big announcements in the past.
If all this proves to be true, then that means gamers will get another chance to fall in love with Diablo II. A remaster will scratch the nostalgia itch for fans of the hack-and-slash dungeon crawler.
But speculation runs rampant because those two massive games are not the only things that are slated for BlizzCon 2019 if Metro and other leakers are accurate.
A sequel to one of the most popular multiplayer games in history?! Overwatch 2 would be a game-changer if it was announced. Fans would go wild. This could possibly be one of the biggest years ever for BlizzCon (and they’ll need it to recover from the maelstrom of bad press and angered gamers).
