If you haven’t already hopped back on Sonic Frontiers this winter break, then now’s a good time because you can pick up a free Holiday Cheer Suit DLC outfit. SEGA and the Sonic Team have shown their festive side this season and got close to a few awards as their title got a few nominations. With a positive kick-off to their game, they have released information regarding an interesting new year in 2023!
They released a roadmap that shows the chunks of what is to be added to the game, but not much context as to when these chunks will be added. Even so, it is an exciting bit of upcoming content! At first, we will just be getting some interesting features like Photo Mode, new challenge modes, celebrating Sonic’s Birthday, and more. What really has my attention is Content block 3 - new playable characters and story bits!
I thought the playable versions of the rest of the gang were going to be in the form of some spin-off games or even the next chapter in the Sonic Frontiers series - given they decide to make more than one game - would feature chapters and levels where you play as them. I didn’t expect them to be playable this early on! What do you think these new playable characters will bring to Sonic Frontiers?
