Gears of War 5 is getting a multiplayer test and it is available to pre-load now on Xbox and Windows 10! Servers open tomorrow on July 19 at 10 AM PT and will be available until July 22. Servers will then be unavailable for a few days until they open back up for a second phase of testing. This second phase will begin on July 26 and run until July 29. The multiplayer test is available to all Game Pass subscribers and anyone who pre-ordered the game.
Players will have access to the Escalation, Arcade, and King of the Hill multiplayer modes of Gears of War 5. There will only be 2 maps available during the test as the team at The Coalition wants a more focused testing ground. There will be opportunities to unlock content and completing challenges can unlock weapon skins and a multiplayer test banner. The Gears of War 5 multiplayer test will only be around 11 gigs in size.
