Horror fans have been waiting for what the launch year of the next-gen consoles is going to bring us in hopes of getting something new or possibly enhanced. Among the first horror games to reach the new consoles is going to be Martha Is Dead by LKA, the same developers that brought us The Town of Light. Since we first heard about this upcoming title in 2019 from Wired Productions initial teaser, there has been growing curiosity on what the gameplay will include.
We got to know plenty about the game’s plot and setting is from their last trailer, but now it is time to see some actual gameplay. This new trailer reveals only a few glimpses of gameplay, but from what I can tell we will experience the memories of the surviving twin in a twisted fashion. With the few things shown in the trailer triggering a “memory pull,” so to speak, that puts the player in a new setting, it seems we might be looking at an exploration title where we find various key items that take us through eventful moments that will guide us through the plot.
I have a feeling we will be in for some jump scares, creepy sightings, and upfront encounters from our lost sister, Martha. I wonder if they will have any other forms of eeriness to increase the horror element of the game though. There still isn’t an official launch date yet, but we are still expected to see a 2021 release date for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and Xbox One.
