It was announced today over at the PlayStation.Blog that the highly acclaimed game Ghost of Tsushima would be getting a multiplayer addition this fall! Called Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, it will put you and up to three other players into a cooperative experience against an army of Oni. The game features a new story that focuses on the supernatural aspects of Japenese mythology. Instead of play as Jin Sakai, this time you will choose from one of four classes. There is a samurai, ronin, hunter, and assassin to choose from and each has its own abilities and advantages to overcome enemies.
The game offers three different modes to play. Story mode, Survival mode, and Raid. The story mode is a two-player experience where you and another player will continue through a new story where the enemies get tougher as you progress. Survival is a four-player mode where you and the other players will complete objectives whilst fighting off hordes of enemies. Raid is another four-player mode that will be available shortly after the game’s launch offering its own playstyle. It said that more information about this mode will be out soon.
This multiplayer experience will be a free update for owners of the original game. I loved my time with the single-player experience of Ghost of Tsushima so I cannot wait to jump into this! There is no launch date yet, but we will let you know as soon as we hear more!
