HALO INFINITE Gets A Big Progression Change

Halo Infinite’s multiplayer battle pass grind has been the one, consistent criticism levied at the game by both fans and critics, and it seems 343 Industries has been listening. A huge boost to earning experience in Infinite is here. John Junyszek, a Community Manager at 343, announced the already live, sweeping change to the progression system early in the morning on November 30th.

The new system will reward players for jumping into matches every day: players will earn 300 experience points for completing their first match of the day, 200 for the second and third matches, and 100 for the next three before settling at 50 for the seventh match and every one after.

This is a huge change to Halo Infinite’s experience grind and one that is already proving popular with the community. The sluggish progress through Infinite’s battle pass was one of the most common complaints about the game and was the most prominent criticism GameTyrant had about the multiplayer mode when it first launched.

This experience change comes just a week out from Halo Infinite’s full release and the launch of its campaign on December 8th. Halo Infinite’s multiplayer beta is now available for free on all Xbox consoles, PC via Steam and the Xbox App, and mobile devices via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
