In this week’s episode, I talk to Tom Salta about his work in the Halo series over recent years. His story further establishes how there really is no Point A to Point B approach to achieving a career in music, as he didn’t initially set out to be a soundtrack composer. In his early days, he worked along side with Peter Gabriel, Sinead O’Connor, and Bobby Brown as a producer/engineer, among many other songwriters.
Halo: The Fall of Reach is an animated film that depicts the origins of the Spartan program and what horrors these kids had to cope with as they were being shaped into these highly trained elite military combatants. Tom has been a huge Halo fan since its original installment on the Xbox, and he talks about his moment of sheer excitement when he was offered the job to begin work on the Halo franchise with 343 Industries.
You can find the Halo: The Fall of Reach Soundtrack on iTunes or Amazon.
