The Mafia series has always had fantastic stories and characters within them. Even when the gameplay or quality of the game itself was uneven, the stories always shined through. With the Mafia Definitive Edition coming out in less than a month, it’s nice to see another trailer bringing the story to the foreground. While this is a remake of the original Mafia game from 2002, the character models and actors have seen major changes.
The trailer takes advantage of these changes and shows them off beautifully. Character models move smoothly and facial movements look very realistic. While this game does not come close to the likes of what we’ve seen in other recent titles like The Last of Us: Part 2 or Ghost of Tsushima, it still does the original game justice by bringing it up to current-gen consoles’ standards. The game is slated to release on September 25th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
