Earlier in the week it was announced that Microsoft would be releasing a new version of Minecraft that was geared towards helping teachers educate their classes in a virtual space. Minecraft Educational Edition is the answer to spreading the popularity of using the very popular game as a teaching tool. To help bring some cool new content to life for the pre-built game worlds available, Microsoft commissioned the building super-group known as BlockWorks to recreate the seven ancient wonders of the world. These completely explorable, to-scale models will help students see into pieces of history that are scattered all over the globe without leaving the computer lab. I've posted a slide show of the wonders below for you to gawk at. Also check out BlockWorks, a group of architects and designers who build some pretty mind-blowing stuff in Minecraft.
