Yes, you read the title correctly. The ever famous game SCP: Containment Breach has finally received a brand new game and it is a multiplayer title called SCP: Secret Laboratory that is available right now on Steam! This is an insane game that I was lucky enough to stumble across and I couldn't be more excited as a horror gamer! Check out the trailer:
While the trailer doesn't show much as to what to expect in the game, know that you can play pretty much every role shown. You can play as one of the Swat team that arrive on helicopter to help rescue the scientists and secure the grounds, a scientist that is trying to escape, a prisoner that is trying to escape while being hunted by both SCP's and Swat, and the grandest of all the roles is that you can play as one of a handful of different SCP's to attack and eliminate all within!
The wide variety of roles is what everybody has been looking to play as. There are plenty of mod's out there that will let you play multiplayer of the classic Containment Breach title or an interpretation of playing as one of the SCP's, but this is going to be the official version.
If you have yet to actually play the original game, SCP: Containment Breach, then I highly suggest you check it out as it is worth a playthrough. The creatures are all very unique and creatively different from most things that you have seen before, meeting sci-fi and horror together to build a game that takes place in a place you would usually only hear about in a conspiracy theory story.
Please note that the game connection is still a bit off. I hope to make a Gametyrant based server for people to play with us, which you will be able to join via Discord, but until then here are some suggested server IP's to use:
- 188.213.25.91
- 151.80.198.177
- 151.80.198.178
- 151.80.198.179
- 80.232.244.247
I don't know how long the beta will last or how long until the full game is launched, let alone what changes we can expect, but if it is anything like the original game then I can't wait to dive in. Are you going to be hopping on this game while it's in beta? How long do you think you can last and which role are you looking forward to playing as most?
