New RATCHET AND CLANK Trailer Shows off Shiny Gameplay

Oh Insomniac Games with their game based on the movie based on the game Ratchet and Clank. While the movie itself seems a little "meh" in my book, the game seems to be shaping up quite nicely. I've always been a big fan of the 3-D platforming, collect-a-thon games of the late '90's and early 2000's. Ratchet and Clank has always been one of those charming series that has spoken to the kid in me, and this shiny new reboot to the series seems like it's bursting at the seams with that sort of sentiment. I'm excited to see more from this franchise, and I hope its success will issue in a new renaissance of platformers. Maybe we'll even get to see Rare return to their golden days... unlikely, but a boy can dream.
