POTION PERMIT Demo Out For Steam Next Fest

PQube London has announced the release of a demo of MassHive Media’s apothecary sim Potion Permit as part of Steam Next Fest. Until the 20th of June, it will be possible to try out a bit of the cute pixel RPG for free. Potion Permit follows the story of a young chemist arriving in the town of Moonbury. The rural settlement has relied in the past on traditional folk remedies from the resident witch doctor, and spurned modern alchemy. However, with the mayor’s daughter ill, and no one else able to help, they are forced to turn to the new visitor for aid.

In Potion Permit, the player must become the resident alchemist of the town, cure its 30 different inhabitants of their health issues, and earn the overall trust of the townsfolk. This is done by making potions, and to brew potions, the player must venture out and explore the local area to collect ingredients, dealing with potential hazards along the way. It may even involve taking on a few monsters.

Do it right, and Moonbury may come around to embracing modern medicine after all, and the better the chemist gets along with the citizens, the more prosperous the town can become.

The demo for Potion Permit is available free for PC via Steam until the 20th of June, as part of Steam Next Fest. The full title will also be available for Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
