Pretty Indie Adventure LOST EMBER Gets VR Update

Mooneye Studios have announced the release of a new edition of their adventure Lost Ember, allowing full VR compatibility HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. The good news for existing fans of the title is that Lost Ember VR Edition will be available as a free update for those who had already purchased the game on Steam.

Lost Ember is set in a world after people. Ruins and clues of a once-thriving civilization are scattered across a landscape reclaimed by nature and populated only by animals. It’s these animals that the player takes control of to explore. The range of controllable creatures include a wolf, a parrot with the power of flight, and a fish able to swim underwater uninhibited.

Using the diverse abilities of the different wildlife, the player is encouraged to explore this world after people, and attempt to uncover the secrets of the lost culture long after its extinction.

With an emphasis on visual design and free movement across sweeping landscapes, a VR port seems like the logical step forward for the game.

Lost Ember VR Edition is available now on Steam, and comes with the original version of the game as well. Buyers of the original title will have received the VR Edition for free as an update.
