Release Postponed For Otherworldly Horror RPG LOVECRAFT'S UNTOLD STORIES 2

Blini Games’ cosmic horror rogue-lite Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 has been officially postponed to an undetermined new release date, pending further testing. The action RPG, published by 1C Entertainment, had been scheduled to be released midway through May, though as of this moment, the Steam page lists its release date as an enigmatic ‘2022’.

The original Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is a rogue-lite ARPG that pits a selection of archetypal characters such as ‘The Detective’, ‘The Witch’, and ‘The Professor’ against familiar horrors of the Lovecraft mythos, through procedurally generated levels that bear some resemblance to places from the fiction.  The sequel has promised to build on that formula, with a whole new look, the addition of a crafting system, and a story that revolves around a mysterious painting that seems to overcome viewers with an inexorable drive toward madness.

Despite the delay, Blini Games have appeared positive on the development of the title, and have been eager to explain the postponement of the release as a drive to release as polished a product as possible, rather than risk bugs and balancing issues with the finished product.

Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 is set to be available for PC via Steam, with the release currently set for an undetermined date later this year.
