Stay in the light because Alan Wake is coming to Control! Serving as a post main story DLC, AWE (Alan Wake Experience) sets up a new story intertwining Alan Wake’s story with Control’s Jesse Faden and her story. Players will only need to complete the main story to play the AWE DLC, so don’t worry about having to finish Control’s first expansion The Foundation. You can pick up this expansion on August 27th for all consoles that the game is currently on. It will also be included in the Control Ultimate Edition coming out at the end of the month.

The last time Alan Wake had a big hand in any of Remedy’s games was in 2012 title Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. The game wasn’t a sequel but more of a small spin-off. I’m a huge fan of the series so I’m hoping that Wake makes a return to his own games this next console generation. There is a lot that can be done with the character and I believe that Remedy is using this DLC to push his story further to achieve it. Only time will tell!
